White folks 

Demand forgiveness 

After they placed their harm 

Upon black people

Just like i mentioned it 

In my poems 

Just like through the voices 

Of slavery….

They knew 

What they’re doin…

They don’t give a 

Fuck…

Their apologies 

Ain’t real 

Especially when they’re 

The ones who invented racism 

In the first place….

Black people

Think 

White folks are too allergic 

To their own accountability 

And I do agree….

But they 

They got the nerve 

To demand forgiveness 

They know deep down 

They don’t deserve it….

Such as cheaters….

They still have power 

To demand forgiveness from 

Black people and many 

Of us still have that condition 

To forgive….it’s the type of 

Trauma that comes from slavery 

And still sustained our dna….

Honestly our genes still holds the 

Love for a white man….

I know the truth hurts, 

Shockin 

Uncomfortable 

But if you wanna read 

A black history 

And how white terrorism crossed 

Our path on purpose, 

I promise you would think 

These folks ain’t forgiven either….

But 

They demand it 

We’re not their Jesus….

We’re not their gods 

We’re not their kids…

We do have the right not to 

Forgive 

White folks…

They sin

And sins ain’t accident….

When I write these topics 

About black people 

Forgivin white people 

So easily and freely 

Cos of god 

Cos they’re good Christians…

I say this 

In my other poems 

That all of this 

“You are Christian 

And you should forgive 

Cos Jesus said so.”

It came from the slaveowners

The abusive masters after they 

Rape, whoop, neglect, verbal 

All the harms they did to you

They told the slaves to forgive 

Their massas…it’s why i look 

At forgiveness differently…I thought it’s 

Quite disturbin to witness black people 

To give a white racist a hug 

And gave a speech about 

We’re all human….

Our sickness of us 

Doesn’t sit right with me….

I don’t wanna be demanded 

To forgive don’t force don’t persuade 

To do so cos I know in my soul 

You ain’t that sorry…..you were never sorry 

The only reason why white folks 

Are doin their apology tour 

Cos they got caught, called out 

and to maintain their “superiority.” 

Knowin they ain’t supreme….

I can say 

Demand forgiveness 

Could be a death threat 

Some white folks will kill 

If a black person refuses to….

It’s why I encourage my people 

To defend themselves 

To fight back 

To dim all their fire 

Cos who do they think they’re talkin to?

Who the fuck are they talkin to?

We ain’t forgivin them shit….

And when I see these white folks 

Being cruel about it, 

They do act like spoiled kids in their 

Adult bodies….

Like really?

Y’all are goin to act like that, for real?

We shouldn’t be afraid of them….

We shouldn’t be afraid of their abused power….

I would like to think they were demanded by 

Systemic racism….

Maybe persuade and it adds fuel to the melaninated trauma…

Another heartbreak to our dna..

Just to gain more energy to white supremacy….
