Nuts
Nuts
They are everywhere
On the ground
I’m just hoping
A squirrel gets his nuts
Cos he seems a little hungry
As he move too fast
Searching for his food
I don’t have them
In my attic nor the front yard
I just got poetry
In my hands
That’s all I got for him
Wonder if he wants me to read to him
mmmmm……..
he might enjoy & forget his hunger
maybe my words becomes nuts
& I’ll be feeding the joy in his heart
I think that’s the type of food
He wants
Someone who feeds him joy
Not just nuts in general
But the light he needs
From a special friend
I guess I’m gonna be
The one who give him
Such light
With just a smile &
Pure friendship
Dissolving into his soul
As he will twinkle at me…..

Reminds me of that Jewish story in which a man had nothing material to offer to his visiting friend, but he was a good dancer, so he danced for his fried!:) Splendid!

Kai this is wonderful!! I see bunches of squirrels every day when I walk, doing exactly as you describe, looking for nuts.
