Memory of that Exact Moment 10-23-06

Memory of that Exact Moment 10-23-06

I was in the 8th grade classroom talking to Mr. Hayden. It was a Friday late morning. I remember our conversations were floating on air. But I didn’t say much. The students came running in and out of the room. They were chatting out loud; especially there are hyper noises in the hall. I kind of used to be like that when I was their age. Always acting like a wild child but I did not make way too much noise. Well maybe I was making too much noise in the hall. But I grew up to be mature young lady. When the kids came in and seated themselves in their seats, Mr. Hayden quiets them down. He introduces me to his students. He told them I write poetry. I was very flattered. The students greeted me with smiles and questioning gestures. I never wonder what they are thinking. Though they were eagerly wanted to hear my poem that I wrote in 2005. It was called Cotton Clouds. One of my poetic love stories that I create in my head. I have a visual imagination of a woman with wings and she is an angel. she is from that place (closer to heaven). She saw this man out of nowhere. She started to introduce herself and the Cotton Clouds. It is a place of love. The place is where soul mates touch the sun. I don’t know what makes me write this piece but I enjoy writing it. Mr. Hayden read my poem out loud to his students. All the students were clapping for me. I was very honor.

When he reads my poem
Silence hums along
His voice------
