I wish I were 

in a romantic film 

Or in a love serie

Where I can get to 

Fall for you every chance 

I get…I wanna be your dream 

Girl you think about 

You chase after ….

The kind we break each other 

Then we put ourselves together 

Knowin this is real….

I’ve watched so many tv shows 

And films…I was inspired to be 

That woman who looks for Mr. Right 

All over the place and kiss many frogs…

I still believe in somebody who will come 

My way and whisk me away….

But these films 

These shows 

Are not real…

It’s just Hollywood 

Just propaganda….

Sometimes 

There are no 

Happy endings 

Sometimes 

The sweet scenes 

Have shown the reality 

That a relationship won’t last long 

and it did crush my hopes…

I don’t like it one bit….

I always thought and felt 

That couples could stay together 

For the rest of their lives 

Cos they love each other…

In the coldest real world,

It’s rare….

People stay lovers but hate 

One another….

I don’t understand that….

I don’t wanna be that….

I wanna be in a real life romance 

With someone who loves me back 

Whatever it looks like, 

Not toxic 

Not painful 

But we’re not perfect….

Even though 

I can’t be in a 

Romantic film myself 

I can dream..

I can fantasize 

Us holdin hands 

Gettin married 

Growin old….

You’re my Mr. Right 

My right person 

I want a healthy relationship 

That feels like a romantic film

When it’s not….

I don’t wanna copy the chemistry 

I don’t wanna compare the sparks from a movie 

To ours…

Let it be our own…

Let it be us..
