Said racism is still over…

They think it’s so uptight 

When black scholars speak 

Slavery in great detail…

They stay in denial 

That our melaninated nations 

Were slaves….

They put the books down 

And shake their heads 

Tellin other black people

To get over it…

They be sayin stop complainin

About white people….

Stop actin like a victim 

They tell us 

We have no trauma 

These are kind of so called 

“Black friends” that are house negroes

They used to be overseers….

They will shush their own people for 

Their validation 

And I’m sure 

Some black folks 

Might say 

I don’t know what I’m talkin

About..

Somebody has told her to 

Write black power pieces….

it could happen..

They said it’s the books I read 

The YouTube videos I watched 

Or 

I studied my observations 

Hard enough to gather 

My facts….

Cos 

Some black folks 

Would read books 

On white supremacy 

With disgust 

Sayin they don’t believe 

It….to them it’s nonsensical 

Sometimes 

Ignorance is forever here 

To stay….

They fear of critical thinkin 

Cos their chains are too tight 

To breath, to grasp…

Would they believe in a 

White man who tells the truth? 

Yes and maybe no….

They might say to him 

Don’t believe the hype 

Some folks are jealous…

They can’t get over slavery 

It’s ok they live in the past 

We live in the future…

Like everyone else said 

Racism is over….

However 

It’s not the case

White people will let them

You’re still a n word

They don’t have to say it 

They show….

And black history books 

Are lettin some black folks know 

That….especially when the pages 

Are about to vanish..

Read American books 

With bunch of lies on the top 

Of lies….they just wanna fancy 

White people…

They wanna get all the validation 

They could get….
