That self hate is too deepenin…

It also goes to show 

You black people are still 

Biggest consumers in America 

When we buy stuff on sales 

Like Jordan’s…

It will always reminds me 

Of Black Friday….

But this is about hair

It’s about weave…

Sistahs waited all night 

For some hair….i heard 

It’s somebody’s hair or 

It could be a horse hair 

They’re desperate to be this gorgeous 

Still a lot of them don’t like

Their own natural coils….

I blame white supremacy,

And I’m aware we wore wigs

In our Kemet days 

But we don’t use it to be white..

Also straight long hair is our 

Genetics, meanin we gave birth to it 

Way before Europeans came around 

and unfortunately racism got everybody 

Fuck up thinkin straight long hair came 

From white folks….it came from black 

People…remember that….racism 

Has led beautiful black women at the 

Long line of free hair…or the hair is on 

Sales…apparently self disrespect is 

Truly on the rackets…those minds 

Focus to be somebody’s else..

Some still wanna be a white woman…

Can’t they be proud of their gorgeous hair 

That they’re born with?

These are the same people who criticize 

Blue ivy’s hair when it’s all curly….

and she was a kid….

It goes to realize these women 

Hated blackness 

When they don’t see they’re the mothers 

Of civilization….they never learn about 

Their own blueprint of this earth 

Cos the white man and his white woman

Erased the truths as much as they can…

They blame black women for cultural appropriation 

Yet they gave them the lowest self esteem…

I believe their silence and actions taught black women

To wear their hair…it’s their standard…

When really it’s not..

Natural hair 

The one they actually born with 

Is your beautiful crown….

The way society told us to tilt it over 

To wear Becky’s hairstyle 

To be blonde and pretty 

When all of them came from us in the first place…

Honestly 

The difference is that white supremacy 

Got us copyin a white woman 

Cos they told us she’s the standard 

and that includes hair…..
