A black parent…

And there are times 

That some black parents 

Won’t say a thing 

Meanwhile a white parent 

Racially abuse their mixed child 

Teachin her or him to gain 

Low black self esteem….

Hearin that word nigger 

In the household 

Cos that black mama 

Or that black pops 

Didn’t put their foot down….

I’m talkin about 

These kinds of situations 

That biracial children 

Has to go through 

Everyday dealin with 

One racist white parent 

And black parent didn’t defend 

Their black baby….

I’m aware 

There are some 

Good parents out there 

But I had to agree with a

Black biracial woman 

Cos when black people 

Make love to white people

Have mixed race kids 

Racism is goin to be there…

Love and peace doesn’t end 

The oppression….

How is it ok 

If a white mom treats her black child 

Like trash?

How is it ok 

Your white dad lets his racist side out 

In front of his black child?

And some  black parents 

Who tried to become peacemakers 

While ignorin the harsh abuse?

Part of it 

Stems from self hate

Self hate makes black people

To go and marry white folks 

Racist white folks 

There are consequences 

That black folks have never expected 

Like a biracial child might learn 

Anti black from your white spouse….

A biracial child might disrespect 

A black parent….

A white mom says to her mixed race kid

You’re not black….

Somehow 

When biracial children go out into 

The world 

The world will tell them differently 

They’re black 

Even when some have white skin

I hear a lot of stories 

About growin up with their racist parent

Sometimes a black community 

Would judge them 

You’re not black 

And there’s so much confusion 

Of where do you belong 

Then you got racist family members 

Make you feel worse than ever…

Biracial kids are not a mistake….

Y’all are humans…

Whether 

Y’all are on the white side 

Or black side

Y’all are still breathin…

I’m sorry you have to deal with 

Racism in your dynamic 

I’m sorry that some of y’all have silence 

From one black parent when it comes to 

White Supremacy

Cos they might grow up with 

That slaveowner mentality of 

A white person who fetishized
