A comfort thought
I’m not goin to lie
A comfort thought
I hold in my heart and
Mind is that when white folks
Murdered black people in the
Name of their racism,
They will never know
What peace feels like,
Even if they get away with it
Even if they have good night sleep
They will never know
Such peace at all….
Cos deep down
They know they’re wrong….
They don’t care about black bodies
They have created a system
A culture that they decided
Our race is not human…..
White folks may cover up
Their crimes, actin innocent
Actin like victims
But they will never know
What peace looks like….
Even Their family and friends
Protectin them…havin their own
Code, they will never see peace
In their future….whiteness doesn’t
Give them peace…their token black
Friends will never give them peace
They will pray and love on them….
No forgiveness can place peace
In their white privilege….
Yes, that's my comfort thought…
They know they don’t deserve peace…
You may call me mean,
I don’t care…
Do you really think that white supremacy
Kills black people is kind?
No, right?
I will let life expose their colors
Or it already has….
By their body language
By how they use words carefully
By how they hid things and called it somethin
Knowin damn well it’s not…
Since black people don’t fight back
Nature and karma is whoopin their asses….
They taunt hunt, intimidate
Use microaggression
Still, there is no peace
They may fake apology tours
They may use white tears
They may use speeches
White folks will never have peace
After they lynched black souls on trees…
You call me rude
Call me anythin
You know I’m right…
A comfort thought is where i ponder
There is a consequence that white folks
Can’t escape, no system can hover
Them from…it’s the thought of them
Havin no peace at all…
Even they’re lyin to the world
And to themselves….✊🏿💯©️Kai C. 8-18-26
