From Ghana to the Bronx 

Bronx to another place…

He ran 

Got shot 

By a bully 

Cos he told somebody 

He was bullied….

It was another black boy 

Who killed him 

In broad daylight….

Before school….

Does black boys 

Young black boys who

Have to kill each other 

Cowardly and for what?

 

He was from Ghana 

To be with his father 

And his father is broken….

I bet those little bullies 

Doesn’t care….

Even their parents don’t 

Give a damn….

How did they get the gun?

Those little black boys 

Are raisin themselves 

Learnin to hate themselves 

Learnin to disrespect 

By listenin today’s hip hop 

And watchin their parents 

Actin like their kids 

Themselves….

Where are the real fathers 

In the home?

I also think it does have to do 

With systemic racism….

Hear me out, 

Like years back or so 

White oppression

Was breakin the black family 

The black community….

And there are later outcomes….

This is one of them….

Black people doesn’t have to listen 

To the oppressors who broke up 

Their families, they could of prevent

Their fathers stay in the house…

Yet we didn’t know it was manipulation 

I’m sorry 

For the loss 

The black boy 

His name was Javits 

From Ghana 

Came to America 

And then he went to another place 

Now his dad is grievin

He was tryin to give him a better life 

On American soil…

He has to bury his son….

My condolences to him….

No parent should have to put their baby in 

A casket…..

It’s heartbreakin…..

Why 

Black boys have to be cowards 

For shootin each other?

Why are their parents not payin their 

Attention?

They should be in prison….

For accountability 

For karma 

For consequences….

This problem 

 Came from the root 

Of white supremacy…..

From the oppressors….

Started a long time ago….

We have to fix as black people

But nobody wants to sit in the truth…

Nobody wants to stare at the mirror…

It’s uncomfortable….

Nobody mentions mental health 

At all 

So the trauma and cycle continues….

For Javits,

I’m sorry you’ve been bullied 

You were an innocent soul 

A child 

Nobody deserves this….

Your family misses you….

Your dad loves you….
