Let’s not talk about race…

Let’s not see race…

But unfortunately,

Skin color does matter…

White folks be lyin through their teeth 

Sayin they don’t see color 

Yes they do….

Black people 

Were and still are 

Trained not to see 

Race being involved…

Yet white folks put it

In our faces….

We tend to 

Quote dr. King’s speech 

Though he pushed us 

Into a burnin buildin 

By mistake 

Now integration is harmin 

Our souls….it develops self hate 

It got us askin for more 

White validation….

We don’t discuss racism 

In public places….

Now you see 

Those token black friends 

In all white groups 

They don’t see anythin

Wrong….they put too much trust…

Those token black lovers

They vanished in mysterious deaths….

And we can’t speak 

About racism cos nobody wants 

To feel guilty and uncomfortable….

White people place racism in our faces

Comes with microaggressions, slurs, murders

How it sustained white privilege….

Do you know what 

Also integration does?

Black people are actin 

Like white people…

Have you noticed?

Race is a problem 

And we should solve it….

By respondin to it

Not lectures and speeches 

Of we’re one human….

I’ve been sayin this 

A lot 

White supremacy speaks violence…

We as black people should have 

Shut it down….

Completely…

We should talk 

About race

We should talk about 

How racism affects us 

And we can never be racist 

Cos we don’t oppress 

White folks….

White folks oppress us….
