Happy birthday to Langston Hughes...

Happy birthday to Langston Hughes

For years and days

You still sing your Harlem blues

My heart flows into your poetic words

You do sing America

And walk through negro rivers

I see you leap and soar only like a bird

Now

On a journey,

Your spirit still lights up

Falling into every gentle soul

I hear your voice

Jazzing up to the sky

The stars, the moonbeams

Of starry heavens

You're a brown handsome poet

Who inspires me, inspires the people

Who enjoys the love of our own poetic souls

And yet you still sing your Weary Blues

Even on your birthday,

You still sing

And grooving to the blues

While I keep the hold of my dreams

Singing my own feeling the weary blues

Cos you are the jazz, you are the black Harlem

But you are not the melancholic song

You are a black poet

Who speak of rivers

That stream way to the sun

I read your life in your each poem

Over and over

Until this day

I must say Happy birthday, Mr. Hughes

Blow out the wind

And keep lingering your beautiful poetry

As if was my lovely memory…..
