Pick a book and expand your
Vocabulary.... y’all don’t wanna
Educate yourselves...y’all don’t
Wanna know....learnin is beneath
Y’all...ain’t it sad? Ain’t it
Sad that your only book
You wanna read is your
Bible.... y’all don’t break codes...
Y’all are blind to see
Your symbolism.... there’s nothin
Wrong to school yourself
Once in a while....readin researchin
The truth and history is to remind
Others past can repeat itself if we let it....
Though others think they’re too cool
For dictionaries, for etymologies....
Y’all don’t read....
Y’all refuse to read....
Y’all read on social media
And the Bible....
When people say niggas don’t read,
I won’t call y’all names....not even negroes....
I got too much respect for you to say it behind your
Backs or think to name y’all that....
I just say y’all...
Y’all don’t read....
Y’all refuse to....
But I encourage you to turn the page
And let your imagination takes you on
A daydream trip....take you on a flight
Of thousand journeys....sometimes it’s okay
To be a nerd....plus do you want your family
Any friends to be aware? Do you wanna be awake?
I mean there are others who don’t wanna listen to
The messages, it’s alright...leave them alone....
They will learn the hard way....
Some of y’all do read,
It depends on what y’all readin....
See I read cos I write....
I read to gain more knowledge....
I read to overstand....
One of the beautiful things about
Readin is that it has us thinkin critically....
It has thinkin for yourself...and you have your
Own perspective....we should discipline ourselves
For readin so we can teach our family the truth....
It’s the purpose of the book....Many pages full of
Life lessons...
Y’all should read...
A novel, a short story, a poem...
Doesn’t have to be a big book...
Maybe a magazine..
Anythin...
Read a little somethin..
